The speed limit was 90... then some dude klapped an ostrich so the limit was reduced to 60 for a considerable stretch. RA and whoever else pitch up and change it to 80 all the way from the edge of town past Swartkops gate... whoah... how many unsuspecting (or unobservant) road users got whacked with a speeding fine for driving 90??? THEN... what the heck... the limit is now a whopping 100kph!!!

I recall asking the speedy who conducted my driving test why the limit back then was 50 in town and 90 on the Swartkops and beach roads. The response was that the road widths did not meet the minimun measurement for higher speeds, thus the derated limits.
Has the Swartkops road grown wider lately???
